“Negli ultimi anni i più assidui frequentatori della Piazza hanno preso l’abitudine di collocare delle leggere poltroncine in plastica nei punti che preferiscono, e lì seggono a discutere.”

Questa semplice e spontanea consuetudine ha rappresentato fonte di ispirazione.
Ha suggerito istintivamente una seduta munita di un’identità assolutamente mobile e flessibile, tale da accentuare concettualmente il sistema di relazione tra gli spazi pubblici della città, e, nel caso specifico, tra le cinque piazze che morfologicamente risultano già comunicanti tra loro dalla dorsale costituita dal Corso e da Via Pergolesi.
La seduta è lì, appesa ad un “totem”, leggera, versatile, e soprattutto dinamica e flessibile. Nessuna staticità, né conformazioni predefinite. Libera di essere posizionata ovunque si desideri, dopo averla sganciata. Chiunque può farlo, ed essere considerato un iniziatore di organismi di folies.
Consente differenti layouts planimetrici, con composizioni singole ad isola, lineari in accostamento, o aggreganti tramite elemento supplementare in dotazione; tutte configurazioni che alimentano creatività ed interattività.
Essa diventa punto di riferimento nel contesto urbano, pretesto di incontro, integrazione, socializzazione, fattore di attrazione, che assolve a molteplici funzioni, di sosta, seduta, lavoro o svago, da svolgere da soli o in gruppo.
La struttura “rarefatta” del sistema nel suo complesso rende l’insieme integrabile con l’ambiente circostante ed è, al contempo, innovativo nelle sue funzioni.
Seduta libera ed itinerante, ma anche luce cittadina complementare sia quando è unita magneticamente al suo terminale di approdo, da cui assorbe energia, sia sganciata se dotata di accumulatore di carica elettrica.

concept _ [chair/totem]

 

"In the last few years the most frequent visitors of the Square have made a habit of placing some lightweight plastic chairs in the points that they prefer, and sit there to discuss. "

This simple and spontaneous practice represented a source of inspiration.
He instinctively suggested a seat provided with an absolutely mobile and flexible identity, such as to accentuate conceptually the system of relationship between the public spaces of the city, and, in the specific case, among the five squares that morphologically are already communicating with each other by the dorsal formed by the Corso and Via Pergolesi.
The seat is there, hanging by a "totem", lightweight, versatile, and especially dynamic and flexible. No static or default configurations. Free to be positioned anywhere you want, after having dropped it. Anyone can do it, and be considered an initiator of organisms constituted by follies.
It allows different planimetric layouts, with single compositions as a kind of island, linear in combination, or aggregatory through additional element supplied; all configurations that fuel creativity and interactivity.
It becomes a point of reference in the urban context, pretext of meeting, integration, socialization, attraction factor, which performs multiple functions, stopover, sitting, work or leisure, to play alone or in groups.

As a whole, the "rarefied" structure of the system makes the complex integrated with the surrounding environment and is, at the same time, innovative in its functions.
Free and traveling sitting, but also complementary light of the city, and when it's magnetically coupled to its terminal landing place, from which it absorbs energy, both when undocked from it, if equipped with a rechargeable battery.
